Keyword Importance for SEO

Good Keywords, Good SEO? Most “SEOists” would say, “yeah, it helps to have and use good keywords to be successful online.” Which keywords, and where and how to use them? Well, that’s always up for debate! A good keyword domain is helpful, as is an appropriate use of relevant keywords throughout your website. Some solid “back links” with helpful anchor text, and a little tweaking now and then to ensure currency, and you’re on your way!

Of course, it’s a bit more complex than that, but “good keywords are a good start.” Understanding them is important, and it can be tedious work. I’m currently working on one of my keyword sites – www.mattressknowledge.com The best descriptive anchor (keyword) text for this site is Mattress Information Website. Keyword Domain Names – GOOD IDEA?

Are “keyword domain names” a good investment? I say yes! There’s just something about a generic keyword domain that “oozes” logic, potential type-in traffic and begs for development.

I’ve seen some beauties over the years; I even have a few myself. A few that I like, that I don’t own > www.seobook.com , www.searchenginewatch.com , www.communitycollege.com & www.canadianwebhosting.com. A few I like, that I do own > Student Loan Application , Student Union Directory & Halifax Law Firm! Were those good investments? Time will tell, but so far, YES!

I was doing some search engine “keyword research” for a friend recently. He was interested in finding out how search engines rank websites and specifically how his personal injury law firm ranked for related legal keywords. MCAD Dance Atlantic Canada!

The Maritime Centre for African Dance (MCAD) is dedicated to teaching, sharing and promoting African Culture though the art of dance, to youth and adults across Nova Scotia and Canada. To date, MCAD has taught well over 20,000 children and adults in schools, community centres, camps and programs. This number is ever increasing. This organization was formed out of a necessity for lack of cultural representation in the form of traditional dance in Nova Scotia. It is a collective of different individuals from Africa who have are trained in traditional dance and ranges from the South, North, West and East of Africa.
