Check this out! The Maritime Centre for African Dance (MCAD) is dedicated to teaching, sharing and promoting African Culture though the art of dance, to youth and adults across Nova Scotia and Canada. To date, MCAD has taught well over 20,000 children and adults in schools, community centres, camps and programs. This number is ever increasing. This organization was formed out of a necessity for lack of cultural representation in the form of traditional dance in Nova Scotia. It is a collective of different individuals from Africa who have are trained in traditional dance and ranges from the South, North, West and East of Africa. Our most famous appearance was at President Obama’s Inaugural Ball!
MCAD offers a number of workshops, classes, performances and much more check us out at www.mcafricancamps.com! MCAD hosts “The Dance-Off”, a freestyle dance competition created for Canadians ages 4 and up who have a love and desire to showcase their dance creativity. The Dance-Off was created, in part, from the outpour of requests from freestyle dancers who feel that there were no such outlets in Atlantic, Canada. This year will be the fourth Hip Hop and Freestyle dance competition of its kind. Come show us what you got, for more info call 1-877-407-3399.

Recognizing that there is a lot of concert competition out there…we have come up with the Top 10 Reasons Weir Rockin’ is better than all those other shows:
10. Weir Rockin’ is 19+, so enjoy your beverage anywhere on the field.
9. If you don’t like the idea of standing in a field…bring a chair!
8. You don’t have to argue about who will be the designated driver…everyone on the free bus!!
7. It’s like going to a high school reunion…but fun!
6. 3,000 tickets for a venue that can hold 8,500 means that you aren’t squeezed in like sardines – lots of room to rush the stage!
5. Have you seen our stage set-up? It’s awesome!
4. Tickets are only $30, you’d spend more than that on dinner and a movie.
3. Supporting community events is important to the health of the community that you call home.
2. Rockin’ out to old school tunes in a ball field is on your “Bucket List.”
And the Number 1 Reason to Attend Weir Rockin’ 09 Featuring Trooper…
“Raise a Little Hell” and “We’re Here for a Good Time” brings back memories from a time of tight pants and big hair… and face it, right now you can use a journey back to those days!

I’m writing a quick post to save some “bookmark space” on my browser. This post is about “social websites” like Twitter, Ning (a new one), Google Wave (coming soon) Facebook (of course), MySpace, Squidoo and LinkedIn, among many, many others!
I personally use a few – Twitter, Squidoo and LinkedIn. There is definite “viral power” in these networks, and the technology is truly amazing! For now, I’ll take it a bit slow (Slow and steady wins the race?), and we’ll see where things go. Now, get out there and start “tweeting” or something!!

I would love to develop these domain names into websites someday; I’m just not sure I’ll ever have the time! I already own and manage 8 websites not including the following domains. If any of these domains “strike your fancy,” drop me an e-mail with a reasonable offer and you just may get yourself one of these great domain names, for a price that won’t allow me to retire anytime soon. LOL
Many of these domains have serious “east coast” (Maritimes) roots, and would be considered premium domains in many markets around the globe. For example, I own www.HalifaxLawFirm.com – imagine that domain as NewYorkLawFirm.com or BostonLawFirm.com. This is a premium, generic .com for a Halifax Law Firm, and there’s only 1!
So, just for fun, and just in case you see something of interest, here we go…
http://www.bedfordnovascotia.com
http://www.brantford.biz
http://www.antigonishnovascotia.com
http://www.vancouverpropertylistings.com
http://www.halifaxlawfirm.com
http://www.mountuniacke.com
http://www.brantfordmall.com
http://www.brantfordrestaurants.com
http://www.sackvillerealestate.ca
I may even consider a partnership proposal on some of these domains!
