Free Web Hosting

Free Web Hosting? I know what you’re thinking, there’s no such thing as FREE, and if there is, that’s about what it’s worth – nothing! Not true, at least in the hugely competitive business of website hosting.
Back in 2000 when I was just starting out on the Internet, I was looking for “inexpensive” or free website hosting for my very first website. After literally hours and hours, and days and days of searching the web (PPC did not exist then, or it was very, very new and not nearly as powerful as it is today), I found a company that claimed it offered Free Web Hosting, and they were a Canadian company to boot. The website was well-designed and “looked reliable.” I spent some time reviewing the features of their free hosting service and the terms and conditions of use etc.
They must force users to display advertising for them? No. They must use sub-domains on their “root domain?” No. You can use your own “real domain” – just like www.michaelbennett.ca or www.sackvillerealestate.com. WOW! Could it be true? Yes it could, and it still is to this day.
Where can you find real, free web hosting? Take a look at www.doteasy.com and you’ll be happy you did. Before you point it out,
I already know! There is a one-time (yes, only one-time) fee of $35US to set up your free hosting. That’s about as close to FREE as you get these days, especially if you keep your website going for 5 or 10 or more years. The cost for a new domain and free web hosting (combined) is only $25US per year, or $50CDN per year for a .ca domain.
These figures are accurate at the time of writing. I use www.doteasy.com for 5 of my websites, and I could not be more pleased! I highly recommend checking them out.
